Viewer issue - JCMT data

Postby dquenard » Wed Jul 16, 2014 5:50 am

Hello everyone,

I'm currently trying to merge JCMT public data with SMA data thanks to the feather function in CASA.
My issue is when I try to look at the JCMT data in the viewer, the wrong axis are plotted. The viewer always want to plot the Velocity in x-axis and the R.A in z-axis.
I tried to check the value of the axis in the header of the fits file but everything seems to be good and I can correctly open it with other viewer such as DS9 or Qfitsview.

I think something happen when CASA tries to read this JCMT fits and It does not interpret correctly the header, and then the feather function always fail.

What do I have to do in CASA to read correctly this JCMT fits ?

Link of the JCMT fits file :

Thanks a lot !

Public 850µm SCUBA-2 observations taken between 2011-02-01 and 2013-08-01.
Gridded onto HEALPix tiles using the HPX projection.
All reduced using the same SMURF makemap dimmconfig jsa_generic (included in the Starlink 2015A release)

Return to “CASA”
