While the final data products of the VLASS will likely be similar to SDSS (tiered data releases), can we also consider including some quick release data?
In particular, it would be great to be able to do a quick (and potentially dirty) analysis to note any major transient sources in comparison to FIRST/NVSS and to submit that information to the entire community in near real-time. In addition, it would also be good if there could be a watch list of known (or recently discovered) transients, that could also trigger a quick release of data. By hooking in transient scientists close to the time of observations, we could greatly enhance the legacy of the VLASS.
