KSPUnderstanding the formation, structure, and evolution of circumstellar disks is crucial to understand the formation of stars and planets. This group proposes millimeter and centimeter observations of dust particles within these disks, in order to trace the dust size distribution and the internal structure of the disks. Numerous research groups from around the world have been struggling with this problem for the past 15 years. The sensitive imaging proposed here - made possible by the wide bandwidth of the EVLA - will provide definitive answers to many longstanding questions.
