Discoveries with the Green Bank Telescope -- The Year in Review

In this talk I'll review some of the discoveries that have been made using the GBT over the past year.  The talk will be aimed at a general audience, and I will avoid specialist or technical language whenever possible. Topics to be covered include the surface of the Moon, Asteroids, peculiar stars, merging galaxies and the layout of our part of the Universe, plus other cool results.

The NSF National Radio Astronomy Observatory and NSF Green Bank Observatory are facilities of the U.S. National Science Foundation operated under cooperative agreement by Associated Universities, Inc.

Founded in 1956, the NSF NRAO provides state-of-the-art radio telescope facilities for use by the international scientific community. NSF NRAO telescopes are open to all astronomers regardless of institutional or national affiliation.
