Abstract: Tsukuba VLBI Correlator, located in Tsukuba, Japan is operated by the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (GSI). We are fully devoted to processing geodetic VLBI observations of International VLBI Service for Geodesy and Astrometry (IVS).
 We process most of the weekend IVS intensive (INT-2) sessions with K5/VSSP software. By starting processing as soon as the recorded data at observing stations are transferred to the correlator, UT1-UTC (=dUT1) estimation is provided within few hours after the end of the observation. After experimental installation of DiFX software and HOPS software in 2018, we had progressed development of our correlation system and evaluation by comparing the estimated value with K5/VSSP for actual operation of correlation with DiFX. We have processed Asia-Oceania VLBI Group for Geodesy and Astrometry (AOV) mixed-mode sessions since 2021 and VGOS-Intensive sessions between Ishioka and Onsala twin telescopes (VGOS-B and VGOS-C) since 2022.
 We have been improving our program and tools to run a series of correlation processes with DiFX and HOPS automatically. However, there are some issues to solve in order to achieve our goal. For example, in correlation between twin telescopes, fringes are detected not only for signals from observed quasar but also for phase calibration signals and noise signals common to both telescopes. To avoid false detection of fringes, we use filters in fourfit to remove frequency bands around the phase calibration signals, and so on. And then, we remove the channels which have much larger single band delay than expected. Finally, we decide which channels to use by checking the result of fourfit. For automatic correlation processing, we need to realize these judgements by conditional branching in programming.

Summary:
This talk will describe a novel radio interferometer between a GNSS antenna/HRTR system and a VLBI antenna. The HRTR’s ability to record baseband samples similar to a VLBI receiving system while simultaneously recording GNSS observables opens a wide range of possibilities in geodesy for relating the previously independent measurement techniques. However, the HRTR’s unique signal chain utilizes a complex sampling rate of 40.912 MSPS, unlike the power-of-two MHz sampling rate of typical VLBI hardware. I will discuss the pre-processing steps we currently use to correlate this data and the challenges that lie ahead. I will also discuss our attempts to observe GNSS satellites and the future work we envision in correlating data from GNSS satellites with a near-field delay model.",None,No,I could give the talk described above during this time if it fits better there.

The VLA Low-band Ionosphere and Transient Experiment (VLITE) is a commensal instrument which uses a customized DiFX correlator to record data at a central frequency of 340 MHz during all routine Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array (VLA) observations. Operational since late 2014, it provides nearly 6000 hours of data per year. In addition to routine observations, a special mode was implemented which allows it to record data during all 3GHz VLA Sky Survey (VLASS) observations, to generate a VLITE Commensal Sky Survey (VCSS). VLITE’s large field of view and extensive time on the sky makes it possible to follow interesting sources over long time periods, search for variability and transients, and to combine multiple shorter images into a single, deeper field around targeted areas of interest. In this talk I give a brief overview of the instrument and present science results from both VCSS and archival VLITE data.",,,
