New Mexico Symposium & Jansky Lecture 2025
New Mexico Symposium & Jansky Lecture 2025
NRAO Domenici Science Operations Center, Socorro, New Mexico
Nov 21, 2025
Dark skies and remote sites have attracted world-class astronomical facilities to the Southwest, supporting a wide range of research since the mid-1900s. The region has been at the forefront of advances in both science and technology - from optical and radio interferometry to groundbreaking insights into solar physics, planetary science, and the formation and evolution of stars, galaxies, clusters of galaxies and the universe itself. Building on this legacy, the upcoming next generation Very Large Array (ngVLA) radio telescope will further expand the Southwest’s role as an important hub for discovery and innovation in astronomy. To support this network of scientific research in the Southwest and foster interdisciplinary exchange, the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) is sponsoring the 41st Annual New Mexico Symposium on Friday, November 21, 2025.
Date and Location
The Symposium will be held in-person on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the NRAO Domenici Science Operations Center in Socorro. We anticipate the day of the symposium will be filled with presentations from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM MT, including poster sessions. Deadline for registration is November 5th, 2025.
Symposium Dinner
