Date: April 3, 2024
Time: 9am-5pm
Location: Room M108, Mitchell Institute for Fundamental Physics and Astronomy + Zoom

The National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) and ALMA Ambassadors cordially invite you to an ALMA Proposal Preparation Workshop at Texas A&M University. This event is designed for all astronomers, and in particular for those who do not regularly utilize radio / millimeter data in their research. The one-day (in-person and virtual) workshop will provide an overview of ALMA including new capabilities, a brief discussion of mm interferometry, and an overview of the proposal preparation and submission processes. We will also hold a hands-on session in preparing proposals for the upcoming ALMA Cycle 11 deadline (April 25th), with support from various TAMU ALMA experts.

Catered lunch will be provided for registered participants, and attendance for the full day is not required but highly recommended. Registration is free, but I would appreciate if you could sign up by March 25th so that I have an accurate count for lunch.

I look forward to seeing you at TAMU!

- Jack Birkin (ALMA Ambassador)

All attendees are expected to abide by the NRAO Code of Conduct.
