UNAM-Morelia 2017
NRAO and LBO will conduct a two day Community Event hosted by UNAM-Morelia in Mexico on April 25 and 26, 2017. The program is designed for up to 40 participants.
Please register using the Registration link on the left. We accept participants in the order their registrations are received by us.
An important part of a Community Day are the hands-on sessions, including observation preparation and data reduction. Therefore, it is very important for participants to do the following well prior to the Community Day (it is very unlikely you will be able to install CASA and download data during the Community Day).:
- To be able to prepare VLA observations (needed for the tutorial), register at the NRAO user database if you have not done so yet.
- Bring a laptop.
- Download and install CASA 4.7.2.
- Download the various demo data and files we will be using during the observation preparation and data reduction tutorials. Firefox browser is preferred for this, or use the ftp instructions at go.nrao.edu/vla-we
