NRAO Live! Event at the University of Wisconsin in Madison
Date: April 08, 2022
Time: 9am - 5pm
Location: Environment and Natural Resources 2 (ENR2) building, room S210
The National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) and ALMA Ambassadors cordially invite you to an ALMA Proposal Workshop at the University of Arizona. This event is designed for all astronomers, and in particular for those who do not regularly utilize radio data in their research. The one-day workshop will provide an overview of ALMA including new capabilities, a brief discussion of mm interferometry, and an overview of the proposal preparation and submission processes. In the afternoon there will be a hands-on session to prepare proposals for the upcoming ALMA Cycle 9 deadline. We also welcome local researchers to give 10-12 minute contributed talks on their ALMA scientific highlights. Lunch will be provided for registered participants who will join in person.
Registration is free, but we'd greatly appreciate it if you could sign up before April 4th so that we have an accurate count for lunches. Attendance will be limited to 40 persons due to space constraints, so we encourage you to register early.
We look forward to seeing you at the University of Arizona!
- Fengwu Sun (ALMA Ambassador)
