Logistics
Venue: The workshop will be held in the Licancabur Auditorium in the Joint ALMA Observatory (JAO) building in Santiago. This is in the same campus where the ESO-Chile building is located. The address is Alonso de Córdova 3107, Vitacura, Santiago.
Maps: The location of the venue can be found here
Parking: Due to the high number of participant, unfortunately we are unable to offer you parking inside the ESO-ALMA campus. Thus, we strongly encourage you to come by bus or by taxi. If you choose to come by car then you will need to park in nearby streets which can be expensive and difficult. From Tobalaba or Los Leones Metro station, you can take the bus 405 or 405c towards Vitacura. It takes ~ 20-30 minutes. I also walk every day from Los Leones station, and it also takes ~ 30 minutes.
Lunch: Lunch will be provided for registered participants. Please register before March 13rd, so we can ensure that the appropriate amount of food is ordered.
Language: The formal language of the workshop will be English, unless there is an overall consensus to do it in Spanish.
For the hands-on session in the afternoon, it is convenient if all participants have installed and tested the following software on their laptops beforehand:
1. CASA 5.4.0 (under the "pipelines" ALMA column). Download here.
2. The ALMA Observing Tool. Download here (Cycle 7 OT will be available after March 19th).
