Welcome to beautiful Bloomington, Indiana and our active and vibrant Department of Astronomy! Below is some helpful information for your stay and directions for reaching the workshop location. 

Note: For the Cycle 13 Call for Proposals, a web-based interface of the ALMA Observing Tool (OT) will replace the previously used desktop-based OT. The web-based OT offers the same functionality as the desktop-based OT, while the new interface offers a modernized and optimized view while retaining the same familiar workflow and structure. Proposal drafts will now be automatically saved within the system without the need to save local files. There is no need to download a desktop version of this tool for this workshop. 

The easiest way to reach the room where our workshop will be held is to enter Swain Hall West through the entrance facing 3rd Street marked by the arrow on the map here. There will be a set of stairs immediately to your left. Take these up two flights until you reach the third floor. Turn right and follow the hallway to until you reach another flight of stairs on your left. Take these to the 4th floor. Continuing through the doorway straight ahead on the 4th floor will take you right to room 405. 
If you wish to use the elevator, continue straight once you enter Swain Hall West from street level, follow the hallway to the right to reach the elevator that will be on the left. Once you take that to the 4th floor, turn immediately to your right to arrive at room 405. 

Food: a catered lunch will be provided by a local establishment in Bloomington. Please make sure to note any dietary restrictions to ensure your needs can be accommodated. Below is a list of nearby hotels and restaurants if you plan to stay the evening (either before or after the workshop).

The NSF National Radio Astronomy Observatory and NSF Green Bank Observatory are facilities of the U.S. National Science Foundation operated under cooperative agreement by Associated Universities, Inc.

Founded in 1956, the NSF NRAO provides state-of-the-art radio telescope facilities for use by the international scientific community.
