Date: March 27, 2026
Time:10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: McMaster University (Room TBD) & Virtual (Zoom)

The National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) and ALMA Ambassadors cordially invite you to an ALMA Proposal Workshop at McMaster University located in Hamilton, Canada. This event is designed for all astronomers; it serves as a primer for those who do not yet regularly utilize ALMA data, while also welcoming experienced users who wish to learn about the latest capabilities.

This one-day workshop provides a primer on millimeter/radio interferometry, ALMA basics, and a review of how to design successful proposals. Attendees will learn to leverage the latest NRAO/ALMA resources, including pipeline processing and tools needed to design observing programs. An interactive afternoon session will offer a hands-on tutorial for the ALMA Observing Tool (OT) to help you prepare for the upcoming Cycle 13 Call for Proposals (Deadline: TBA).

Note: Participation is free, and a catered lunch will be provided for those who register as an on-site participant by March 20 (sooner is better). While attendance for the full day is not required, we hope you will join us for as much of the day as you can.
  • In-person participation is limited to 25 people.
  • A virtual option via Zoom is available for all sessions.

All attendees are expected to abide by the NRAO Code of Conduct.
