NRAO Live! Event at the Carnegie Observatories in Pasadena

NRAO Live! Event at the McGill University

ALMA Proposal Workshop

Date: Mar 31, 2016
Time: 9am - 5pm
Location: Carnegie Observatories

The National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) cordially invites you to a NRAO Live! ALMA Proposal Workshop at the Carnegie Observatories in Pasadena. This event is designed for all astronomers, and in particular for those who do not regularly utilize radio data in their research. The workshop will be one day long, and we will provide an overview of the NRAO facilities, have a brief discussion of mm interferometry and an overview of the proposal preparation and submission processes. In the afternoon there will be a hands on session to prepare proposals for the upcoming ALMA Cycle 4 deadline. Lunch will be provided for registered participants.

Registration is free, but we'd greatly appreciate it if you could sign up before March 25 so that we have an accurate count for lunches!

This event will follow a full day symposium entitled Synergistic Science in the Radio Regime focused on current research being conducted with NRAO and other radio facilities. The radio showcase will be also be held at Carnegie Observatories on Wed, March 30th. Check here for more information and to register for the symposium.

We look forward to seeing you in Pasadena at both events!
