Date: April 5, 2017
Time: 9am - 4:30pm
Location: Evans Conference Room (15.202A) RLM Building

The National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) and ALMA Ambassadors cordially invite you to an ALMA Proposal/Data Workshop at the University of Texas at Austin. This event is designed for all astronomers, and in particular for those who do not regularly utilize radio data in their research. The workshop will provide an overview of ALMA and Cycle 5 proposal preparation, including hands-on tutorials for the Observing Tool (OT) and data archive. In the afternoon, we will dive into interferometric data and ALMA data simulations, including hands-on group activities. We encourage everyone to have the OT and CASA installed on their laptop before the workshop, and we will send out detailed instructions to all participants shortly after the registration closes (5pm, March 31). Lunch will be provided for registered participants.

Registration is free, but we'd greatly appreciate it if you could sign up by March 31 so that we have an accurate count for lunches!

Download the ALMA Observing Tool here. (Cycle 5 OT available after March 21.)

Download CASA here.

We look forward to seeing you in Austin!
