What to bring & prepare
  • To participate in the tutorial sessions, we ask you to bring a personal laptop and download two software packages before the workshop: CASA and CARTA. Please try to install the software before the workshop. If needed, there will be time during the introduction to download it. I highly recommend installing those before coming to the workshop.
  • For detailed instructions to download and test CARTA and CASA please follow this link: Guide to Install and Test the Software for the ALMA Data Reduction at the JHU
    Quick links to installation:
  • Note: We will use a dedicated ALMA data set for the tutorials, but you are welcome to try the tasks on your own data or archival data during the workshop. However, if you are new to ALMA data processing, we recommend that you first attempt the methods within either the CARTA/CASA environments using the tutorial dataset (for TW Hya).
