ALMA Community Day Event at the Columbia University
Date: March 30, 2018
Time: 9:30am - 5:30pm
Location: 1332 Pupin Hall, Columbia University
The National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) and ALMA Ambassadors cordially invite you to an ALMA Proposal Workshop at Columbia University. This event is designed for all astronomers, and in particular for those who do not regularly utilize radio data in their research. The one-day workshop will provide an overview of ALMA including new capabilities, a brief discussion of mm interferometry, and an overview of the proposal preparation and submission processes. In the afternoon there will be a hands-on session to prepare proposals for the upcoming ALMA Cycle 6 deadline: we will simulate and image ALMA interferometric data, and work with the ALMA Observing Tool used to prepare and submit proposals. Lunch will be provided for registered participants.
Registration is free, but I'd greatly appreciate it if you could sign up before March 25 so that I have an accurate count for lunches.
I look forward to seeing you at Columbia University!
