The ALMA workshop will be held in 1332 Pupin Hall, which is located in the northwest corner of Columbia University's main campus. The main entrance to the Columbia University campus is located at Broadway and 116th Street in the Morningside Heights neighborhood of Manhattan.

To Get to Columbia University

By Public Transportation:
The number 1 subway line and five bus lines (M4, M11, M60, M5, M104) serve the Columbia/Morningside Heights area. The Columbia stop is 116th Street. Do NOT use express trains Nos. 2 and 3 which follow a different route and do not stop at Columbia University. If you are on a 2 or 3 train from Midtown, change at 96th street to the 1 train across the platform.

By Car:
The most convenient route to Columbia from Downtown and Midtown is the 95th/96th Street exit of the Henry Hudson Parkway (West Side Highway). Use the 95th Street off-ramp and turn left onto Riverside Drive. Proceed north (uptown) to 116th Street. A right turn at 116th Street leads you to the campus gate. From the north, take the Henry Hudson Parkway (West Side Highway) to the 125th Street exit. Turn left on 125th and then north on Broadway (under the elevated subway line) or Amsterdam Ave (the next major intersection) and proceed to the main gates at 116th Street.

Street parking can be found in the neighborhood with persistence. There are parking garages located on 122nd Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue, on 120th Street at Riverside Drive, and at 114th Street and Amsterdam Ave.

To Get to Pupin
In order to get to the Pupin Physics Laboratory, you need to enter the main campus at 116th Street and Broadway on foot (see University and Google maps above). There is no access to Pupin from 120th Street. Pupin is easily identified as the tall building in the northwest corner of campus with a green astronomical dome on top.

Directions to Pupin Hall from the 116 ST #1 subway stop can be found here:

Upon reaching Pupin, take the elevators up to the 13th floor. Out of the elevators, head left, then right to the end of the hall to Room 1336.
