Date: November 22nd, 2024
Time: 9am-4pm (attendance for full day not required)
Location: Room 15.216B, UT Austin Physics, Math, and Astronomy Building (PMA), University of Texas, Austin and Zoom (link will be shared the week of the event)

The National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) and ALMA Ambassadors cordially invite you to an ALMA Data Processing Workshop at the University of Texas at Austin. This event is designed for all astronomers — with and without previous experience with ALMA data — but especially targets those who do not regularly utilize radio / millimeter data in their research. We encourage participation from graduate students and junior postdocs, but we welcome astronomers at all levels of experience. The one-day hybrid workshop will provide an overview of ALMA interferometric data processing and analysis, with topics including ALMA basics, imaging with CASA, basic flux measurements, and data visualization with CARTA.

Catered lunch will be provided for registered participants, and attendance for the full day is not required but highly recommended. Registration is free, and we ask you to please sign up by November 8th so we have an accurate count for lunches, and to better cater the agenda to suit your needs. Looking forward to seeing you all!

- Olivia Cooper (ALMA Ambassador)

All attendees are expected to abide by the NRAO Code of Conduct.
