How to prepare for the workshop

To follow the hands-on sessions, please bring your own laptop (preferably with Linux or macOS) and charger.

Before the workshop, please make sure to download and install the following software:
• CASA: https://casa.nrao.edu/casa_obtaining.shtml (version ALMA Pipeline 6.6.6)
• CARTA: https://cartavis.org/#download (version 5.0, stand-alone application recommended)

Also, please download the data files we will be working with from this link:

How to reach the workshop venue (for in-person participants)

The workshop will take place in Sala B02 (floor -1) at Beauchef 851, inside the Campus Beauchef of the Facultad de Ciencias Físicas y Matemáticas of the Universidad de Chile, in Santiago.

The closest metro station is Parque O’Higgins on Line 2. The entrance to the campus is at Beauchef 851

At the gate, you’ll find turnstiles. Your name will be on the list of authorized attendees for that day, so just provide your name to the person at the entrance to be allowed in.

Once inside, walk straight ahead into the inner courtyard, where you’ll see a cylindrical structure with a spiral staircase (see its location on Google Maps [https://maps.app.goo.gl/Vjngs7wohMphz2U19]). Go down to floor -1 and Sala B02 will be right in front of you, just a few steps away.

The room will be equipped with power outlets and Wi-Fi access.
