Getting to Charlottesville

For many visitors to the NAASC, air travel will be the best way to get to Charlottesville. Charlottesville has a regional airport (code CHO), and is within two hours of two international airports.

Charlottesville Regional Airport (CHO) is ~10 miles north of Charlottesville, with daily non-stop flights to and from Charlotte, Philadelphia, NewYork/La Guardia, Washington/Dulles, Atlanta and Chicago.  CHO is served by Delta Connection, United Express, US Airways Express and American Airlines.

Richmond International Airport (RIC) is ~85 miles southeast of Charlottesville, and is served by Air Tran, American Airlines, Continental, Delta, JetBlue, United, USAir and Air Canada.

Dulles International Airport (IAD) is ~100 miles northeast of Charlottesville (about 2 hours' travel, non-rush hour).

Charlottesville Amtrak Station (CVS), located in downtown Charlottesville, offers direct, daily service to/from Washington, DC, Philadelphia, New York City; south to Atlanta and New Orleans; west to Chicago.

Richmond Amtrak Station (RVR) is about 70 miles southeast of Charlottesville, and is served by the Northeast Regional (Boston - Providence / Springfield - Hartford - New York - Washington, DC), with two lines that connects to Miami, Florida (Silver Star and Silver Meteor).
