NRAO Community Days

The University of Maryland and UC Berkeley will each host an NRAO community day.  The purpose of these days is to inform the scientific community of the current status of NRAO telescopes (ALMA, EVLA, VLBA, GBT).  There will be presentations on how to write successful proposals for these telescopes and how to observe with them.  Participants will have the opportunity to try out observation preparation tools and the post-processing system CASA while NRAO staff will be available for consultation.

For the hand-on sessions in the afternoon you will have to bring your own laptop (Linux or Mac OS) with CASA installed.  Data to be used in the CASA hands-on session need to be downloaded ahead of time; we will post instructions how to do this soon.

Also make sure you are registered in the my.nrao.edu database.
