The Growing Population of Fast Radio Bursts

Abstract

Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs) are millisecond-duration pulses of as-yet unknown cosmological origin. As the second decade of research into FRBs is coming to a close, the current sample of these enigmatic objects stands at around 1000 with several thousand more expected soon. In this talk I review what has been learned from this sample and highlight some of the exciting prospects to look forward to in the coming decade..
