Bayesian radio interferometric imaging with direction-dependent calibration
Abstract
This talk will present the RESOLVE framework for Bayesian radio interferometric imaging and calibration. I will discuss the technical concepts behind RESOLVE, enabling Bayesian inference for high-resolution radio interferometric data. Furthermore, I will show our most recent extension of RESOLVE to include direction-dependent calibration (see https://arxiv.org/abs/2305.05489). We demonstrated the improvements in the resulting image for the example of VLA Cygnus A data.
