With most of the receiver upgrades complete, the most important task still facing the EVLA project is installation of the 3-bit samplers which will enable observations of bandwidths of up to 8 GHz.

Figure 1 - An overview of EVLA band availability as a function of time. The L- band curve reflects the planned installation of Ortho Mode Transducers (OMTs), which will enable good polarization behavior outside the 'old' L-band range (1.25 - 1.75 GHz ).
