Logistics
Transportation
Arrival and departure transportation will be provided from Albuquerque International Airport (ABQ), located approximately 75 miles away, as well as to/from hotels and the lecture hall. Please see the Airport Transportation page for more details. See Transportation page for information about transportation within Socorro.
Lodging
We have reserved blocks at several local motels. Please see the Lodging page for more details.
Forum
A sub-forum called "Synthesis Imaging Workshop" has been set up on the NRAO Science Forums for students to discuss topics relevant to the workshop. This forum is private (accessible only by logging in) therefore you must register at https://my.nrao.edu to access it.
Meals
The NMT Campus Dining Hall will be open to provide all-you-can-eat buffet lunches at approximately $7.00 per person (rate may be higher if workshop doesn't meet the minimum required). Meal tickets will be available during breaks and at the Dining Hall door.
Additionally, the campus coffee shop is open from 8:00am - 1:00pm providing coffee, pre-made sandwiches, snacks and beverages. Both venues are located in the Fidel Center.
Meals Included with Registration
- Lunches - 3 total: On the two Tutorial days and one for the VLA Tour.
