Financial Support

Update 2013/04/26:

The deadline for active requests for financial support has passed.

The information below is retained for informational purposes only; no new requests will be considered.

For those in need, the IAU offers limited financial support to attend the conference. Note that the IAU wishes to support qualified scientists to whom only limited means of support are available, e.g., colleagues from economically less privileged countries and young scientists. Unfortunately we will not be able to fully fund individuals and only partial financial support will be available through the grant from the IAU.

Please print and fill in the IAU grant Application form, scan it in, and send it back to iau303soc@nrao.edu together with a text file containing a detailed description and estimated budget breakdown of the individual items (in USD) for which support is requested. As a guideline we will mainly consider requests to cover the conference fee (USD 550) and occasionally support to cover lodging for those who are willing to share a room.

Deadline for the application is the 25 April, 2013, and we anticipate that the grants will be awarded by the IAU by mid-May. The registration will open shortly thereafter.
