Social Events

Social activities will include a reception on the first day of the meeting, and a conference dinner currently planned for Wednesday evening. On Sunday September 29, the day before the start of the meeting, there will be a tour to the Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array (VLA) site, which includes the Long Wavelength Array.

Of interest is also the Santa Fe Wine and Chile Fiesta the week and weekend prior to the symposium (Sep 25-29), and the  Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta the weekend and week after the symposium (Oct 5-13).

For those who enjoy a longer drive, on Saturday October 5, there are free general public open days at the Trinity Site (bring your passport!) and [cancelled] at the  Very Large Array in addition to the special IAU 303 tour on the 29th.
