New Capabilities

Version 1.35 of the OPT was released on 2024 Nov 18.

Note the following new features and improvements:

OPT

  • Bulk Scan Edit tab
    • Can now change OTF (on-the-fly) end source.
    • Calibrate Amplitude and Calibrate Phase have been added.
  • Scan Mode
    • OTF Galactic is available to general observing
    • Holography changed Starting Corner to Grid Starting Corner
  • Dynamic LST Validation tab
    • New evaluators: Max Slew Time, Antenna Shadowing, and Antenna Wrap (this is experimental - a work in progress).
    • Messages are condensed by a string match and if they are within the same LST and consecutive scan numbers. Can be expanded to see individual messages.

RCT

  • Users can now reset individual basebands with lines if they used the automated setup. It will clear continuum subbands in the reset baseband. If the user moves a line from baseband A to baseband B, that line will not be cleared and will have a duplicate in baseband A when reset is used.
  • Data Path 1 (for 8-bit only) will automatically be invoked when adding continuum subbands to a spectral line resource (after the lines have been generated in the basebands) and when adding more than 16 subbands to a continuum or frequency sweep resource.
