Version 1.34 of the OPT was released on 2024 July 24.
Note the following new features and improvements:
OPT
Scheduling Block (SB) Improvements
- Significant improvements to the speed in which the left-hand tree loads scheduling blocks (SBs) and scans.
- Scan Mode update to On The Fly Mapping in Equatorial coordinates (OTFE). Galactic coordinates (OTFG) is available for advanced resident shared risk observations (RSRO).
- Dynamic LST Validation tab
- We have introduced a new tab to the scheduling block (SB), Dynamic LST Validation, and renamed the Reports tab to Static Report. The information presented under the Static Report tab has not changed. The new Dynamic LST Validation tab is a built-in block checker tool to help users check their own SBs for time on source, elevation, etc.. Note, NRAO staff will continue to check SBs before they are approved. Please refer to the OPT manual for more details.
- Submission tab
- Users may opt-in or opt-out of the COSMIC-SETI commensal observations during any status of an SB, i.e., not_submitted, submitted, or schedulable. The default is allow the COSMIC-SETI commensal observations.
