New OPT Capabilities in OPT 1.11

OPT version 1.11 adds full support for the new OSRO modes available to observers in the D-configuration starting late September 2011.  The major enhancement is that eight sub-bands instead of one can be used in either of the independently tunable basebands.

This change is evident in the Instrument Configuration Tool after selecting Create New Instrument Configuration from the File menu.  In the right hand panel, under the Editor drop-down menu, you are presented with two choices: 11A OSRO/OSRO-2 and OSRO.

If you are using the OPT to create scheduling blocks for the current A-configuration (ending September, 2011), select 11A OSRO/OSRO-2, which allows you to specify the familiar OSRO1 and OSRO2 modes.  For the time being, this is the default.

If you are using the OPT to create scheduling blocks for the upcoming D-configuration (beginning September 30, 2011) select OSRO, which will allow you to specify up to 8 sub-bands per baseband.  This will become the default at a later time.
