New Capabilities - 1.12

OPT version 1.12 continues full support for the wide-band OSRO modes introduced in version 1.11, and the 'old' narrow-band OSRO2 mode which has been available much longer.  Here follows a list of the most important enhancements:

  • You can order your catalog and projects in the tree view on the left on the screen.  Click on a catalog or project, and use ↓or ↑ to re-order
  • You can export your scans to a text file by clicking on a scheduling block and select File → Export Scans.  The capability to import such a file was introduced in an earlier version.
  • When doing a cone search, clicking select source will use the selected source's coordinates as search center, removing the need to type in its coordinates yourself
  • The Sources tool allows you to display a source's Elevation and Azimuth plot.  Click on a source's Show/Edit icon and click on the Images tab
  • You can now select more than one LST range on the Information screen.  This can remove the need to submit the same scheduling block twice, with different LST ranges, in order, say, to avoid the zenith
  • A new Bulk Scan Creation tab allows the observer to quickly create lots of similar scans for a list of sources
